The Flight Assistant user manual is the most efficient way to get you up to speed with the service and it will give you a very good overview of the various features.
But if you are in a rush and just to make your first flight, here is a 5 step guide that should not take more than 3 minutes to get you in from of a functional application.
- Launch the application.
- If this is the first time you are using it (or the first time on this device), you will be asked to sign in. Choose your preferred method.
If you did not have a Flight Assistant account before, it will be created for you at this stage.
- After signing in, you will be proposed to download maps and data. Accept.
If you missed it, you can go back to the data subscription screen via “My Account > My data subscriptions”
- In the list, tick the boxes of the country (or countries) where you usually fly.
It will automatically download the maps (HD or SD based on your subscription) and the aeronautical data (more or less rich based on your subscription).
- Go back to the application home page and click “START FLIGHT”.
It will show you the moving map and as soon as the GPS will get a good fix, it will center the map on your location.
That’s it! You are ready for your first flight with Flight Assistant.
You want to go just a bit further, we can only advise you to have a look at the first of our Flight Assistant Lessons that are our very own training program.
